one thing is releasing an "art"-prod, a completely different thing is puking out 5 prods a day to make a point. having "latest released prods" beeing five shitty crappy jokeprods from "minimalanimal" every day isn't good for pouet and it's just fucking childish. like i said; enough is enough.

So gloom, can u explain the difference between art prods and minimalanimal prods? They could give you the same arguments as the whiners in the $ thread, you don't understand art.

I'm with chaos in this one, if a prod doesnt stand by itself, it's not good. Not misunderstood art, and they really don't require much skill, art2k3 was done in 2 hours by trace, didnt require any code, and IMO the quality difference with other artsy prods is not big

After looking at some prods (at least the pages) i gotta say something, too:
minimalart sucks big time!
The productions crash instantly, mess up the whole system.
And the worst thing is, that it seems they obtained dozens of "funny" *ART*-nicks and selfvote/comment their own productions...

But maybe this is all some kind of joke or a concept to spam the scene and look how the response is. if so, i'm pleased to be part of that project.

mac: i'm not such a big fan of "art"-prods (like chimera, although i feel differently about it now than when i first saw it at assembly); i'm more of a "traditional" scener (software? yes please! smooth transitions? oh baby! tbl? gimme! etc.) but there is a difference in the level of commitment between things. "releasing" five "prods" a day with the obvious intent as to make fun of the "legitimate" art-prods it just plain stupid, and it cheapens pouet. when it comes to "art"-prods, i don't judge "famous" groups differently than others, shit is still shit. :)

i've nothing against demos if they respect our traditions : Credits / Greetings / exe file / music / gfxs / realtime

but i'm against little boys with little dick and small bollocks wich use the self-thumb-up and wich create false user account to try to exist.
yes, they just try to exist, and because it is so hard to be someone and famous with a good demo and hard work, they just spam with crap and selfvoting.

enough is enough allrite. Atleast put all the parts together and make ONE crappy demo out of it.

I even loved _ for the feeling it gave me ....but this it's just becoming a parody. If this is the "anit-art-brigade's" strike towards the socalled "art-demos" then they failed horribly in my eyes and only sucseeding in degrading themselves. Childish behavior never get's you anywhere.

there's no need to produce "good" demos with traditional style, Credits/Greetings/music/gfx/realtime....nowadays seems that only crappy thingies erect the thumbs, I now it by experience. no matter you do, no matter what you Submit, a crappy demo will always piss your traditional demo.
