- OMFG is this what dying of boredom feels like? In fact this is so boring I still haven't finished watching it. I'm glancing at it on the other monitor while typing this comment. From time to time a prompt to change the disk appears and shakes me out of my trance, at which point I'm thinking: do I have to? I mean it doesn't suck. It has impressive stuff in it, but GOD it needs a fast-forward control. Also the text is concentrated cringe. FUCK this is boring....

- Brilliant. Finally watched this on my C64, and I was blown away. Beautiful effects, graphics, design... and the music, some parts I want to listen again and again.

- demo MS-Dos GoBIT by Adapt [web]
- wbc\\bz7: indeed with 6.53 i get many more video modes. Why would 6.7 give me fewer modes? Anyway, now the demo tries to start on the S3 machine, but hangs after the splash screen scrolls upwards...

- demo MS-Dos GoBIT by Adapt [web]
- Just a bug report for now, didn't manage to watch it yet.
On my P2 350 with an S3 Virge graphics card, it failed to start, saying it couldn't set the correct video mode. Tried with and without univbe. My own VBE code reports these video modes as being available: http://nuclear.nsupdate.info/tmp/vbeinfo/s3virge_univbe.txt
On my second dos box, which is a P200 MMX with a VBE3-capable riva128 it progresses further but hangs with the last message being: "Adding parameter textureFile with value: envtex3.pcx".
Hope this helps. - isokadded on the 2017-08-11 22:09:57
- demo MS-Dos Windows My Summer Demo by Byterapers [web]
- Very nice. Clean, crisp, and light hearted. I really liked the bumpmap effect with the flowers.
Keep it up guys, let's keep the oldskool compo going, and hopefully next year we'll join you. If we don't procrastinate and get side-tracked as much as this past year :) - rulezadded on the 2017-08-11 21:53:14

- demo Windows Gestalt by Quite & T-Rex [web]
- First of all, this is boring as fuck, and barely has any effects.
But more importantly... how the fuck did we end up with a "demoscene" that doesn't care how a demo is made? This used to be a technically minded group of people showing off their skills. How did everything become so politically-correct around here that we don't call shit like this "lame" any more? How is this a "demo" ?
Don't bother answering. I don't give a shit. - sucksadded on the 2016-08-28 19:00:08
- demo MS-Dos MS-Dos/gus Goldilocks by Planet Earth [web] & optimus
- I love well done oldschool effects. And this working on a 486 too is a plus! I only tried it on my DOS retro-pc which is a P2 and it obviously runs great.
I especially liked the labeled galaxy, reminds me of state of mind. And the transitions in most parts are excellent. - rulezadded on the 2016-03-28 18:08:46
