Everyone watching the wild compo loved it... - rulezadded on the 2005-04-27 04:30:08
- 32k Windows bugtro by Mostly Harmless
- fuck!
This is hands-down the most bug-ridden piece of code I've seen! :)
I'm not sure how good it is as far as demos go, but I'm certain that it definitely took me by surprise...
It's so weird, it rules :) - rulezadded on the 2005-03-30 02:53:48
- demo Windows Aphorism for the Masses by Andromeda Software Development [web]

- demo Linux Eternal by The Lab [web]
- Hi people, thank you all for your comments. I just wanted to let you know that I probably won't release a final version.
I have fixed some of the bugs of the demo AND compiled it under windows. But there are more bugs and I don't think I'll make the effort to fix them. Anyway if you really want to watch it on windows, feel free to get the latest code from my subversion repository, it includes project files for Visual Studio .NET and on my PC it runs on debug mode with few problems, if you decide to fix it let me know, here is the repository: svn://nuclear.dnsalias.com/pub/eternal_thelab/
Btw in case you want to use or improve the 3D engine which is under constant development, don't use the one from the demo, there is a much more recent version here: svn://nuclear.dnsalias.com/pub/3dengfx/
it includes makefiles for GNU/Linux as well as Visual studio .NET project files to build it as a library.
Oh and don't even try with Visual C++ 6.0 or the first version of .NET, the compiler sucks too much, it won't compile, use VC.NET 2003 or the "not-really-free" compiler that microsoft provides at their website. - isokadded on the 2004-08-27 23:30:07
- demo Windows lost in the underflow (party version) by Radiant
- it was a hot summer evening in Athens, he sat about in his almost comfortable chair in front of his beloved computer, unable to make himself do some usefull work with his latest graphics projects.
He just sat there, staring at his screen in utter silence, in the background a television was showing some olympic games, but that was too uninteresting for him to turn around, instead he just stared at his screen and decided to go through some old directories in the windows partition of his laptop.
And there among files long forgotten, he found the source of this demo (Lost in the underflow), lingering in a shadowy corner of the disk after the last compile that radiant did before the democompo on this very machine at the partyplace.
Ah, he thought, why can't I watch this on my beloved OS?... after all it should be easy to port... the rest is history.
So people, here is the port of Radiant's Lost in the underflow for GNU/Linux, unfortunately demoscene.gr is down at the moment, so you can download it from my PC for now (it's mostly always online anyway)

- demo Windows we cell by Kewlers [web]
- This demo should definitely score higher at asm.
Very impressive effects and great music as always.
Along with Planet Risk from ASD, the best demos from this year's assembly. - rulezadded on the 2004-08-15 20:00:42
