- demo MS-Dos Da Clone by Halcyon
- Cute little dentro with those classic env-mapped blobs, and some chaos zooming and weird text. You'll need to unpack and patch the EXE to run it on a fast PC.

- demo MS-Dos Copper by Surprise!Productions [web]
- It was from The Party 2, thus released in (or near) December 1992. Can I get half a glop now? :)

- 32k MS-Dos/gus totraum 209 by Purge
- Oh, and by the way, the intro is 24kb. KB has always been, and will always be, a fucking genius. :)

- 4k Windows varus by kolor [web]
- I was told by Noize/Kolor that they can't (or won't) fix it for a machine like mine. So I guess 450mhz is too slow for the scene now :(. Oh well, my PC is 3 years old, time to upgrade anyway!

- 4k MS-Dos Omniscent by Sanction [web]
- Shouldn't it be "Omniscient"? :)
GUS ppl who haven't heard the music, run MegaEm first.
This was the most impressive 4k on the PC for several years, but now even Windows 4ks are starting to get better (e.g. Varus by Kolor). Still, respect to the Sanction guys for all they did back then. - isokadded on the 2001-04-30 19:35:41
- demo Windows Kasparov by Elitegroup [web]
- Afterthought: I toured the Hamburg industrial-harbor area at night with a couple FR guys, after MS01. I then understood where they got the inspiration for this demo :). Cranes, tunnels, and iron girders everywhere. Even the music crept into my head. :)

- 64k MS-Dos Windows heaven seven by Exceed [web]
- Whoops, I didn't comment on this intro yet? Shame on me :).
There are two types of people - those who think that FR08 is the best intro ever, and those who think that Heaven 7 is the best intro ever. FR08 had innovative code (compression, texture generation) and music, but Heaven 7 still reigns in effects (crazy raytracing) and design. Just plain flawless (but so was fr08.. oops, I'm going to get into another war, better shut up :).
Only a couple nitpicks. One, the improper/misspelled English in the "poetry" (Optimus, that's what's wrong with it, from an American point of view :). Also, I'm not too keen on the "shrieky" percussion (the high pitch sound). It just doesn't seem appropriate for this intro.
So, please enjoy Heaven 7, but some of you shouldn't go so far to love it as to compromise your, umm, manhood (see comment from SiN above :).
PS, I was let down not to see an Exceed release at MS01, but I'll look forward to Assembly again. - isokadded on the 2001-04-30 19:17:10
- 64k MS-Dos Bill G Force by Komplex [web]
- After Dope, I had huge expectations from Complex, and I was "sort of impressed" by this intro, I think :), when we first saw the Asm95 entries at the Mini-Impulse party (in the USA). Other than Cosmic Bros, this was when they started trying new, abstract things, so you won't see any phong donuts or effect-boxes here :). The music continues the dramatic style of Dope, but more ambient and chippy. :) And of course, as kb mentioned, it uses the 18-bit fakemode, which gave it and many other demos at the time that great "TV" feel :).

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS ARTE by Sanity
- The design king of the A500. If you've seen "No" by Nooon on the PC, now you know what its gfx artist and musician did before :) (and some Arte pics were reused in No!). Of course, great variety of effects too, some of the best ever on the A500 (and all on just one disk).
It's funny that, even though Arte placed 3rd at TP3, it's usually the only A500 demo to appear on modern Amiga charts. PC owners, you should still watch it too; you have no excuse since it works in both Fellow and UAE. :) - isokadded on the 2001-04-30 18:44:39
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Desert Dream by Kefrens
- Still a definite classic, but only by certain measures. The music and synching effects to it (my fave: the sawblade!) were excellent, and likely an inspiration for Second Reality. But the effects don't have much lasting power. Even for the time and platform, they were pretty simple. Most are dot-based, and even though they had a few records, they're still just dots. :)
The intro is cool (great opening music), but maybe a little too long. Still, I'm amused by the hints of a Kefrens/Melon Design war. I think prior to this demo, Melon released an intro with a pic of a melon pissing on an ankh, the Kefrens symbol. :)
