- demo Windows Exoframe by Cocoon [web]
- Rules. I don't normally like the cocoon style, but this works a lot better for my tastes (yet the "cyborg guy with green lights" scene is still there :)
Really impressive quality, with a few really great effects too. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-02 14:00:42

- 64k Windows A l'ancienne by X-men
- A lot of cracktro coders need to look long and hard at this and learn from it. Oldschool on modern hardware done right. Great stuff!

- 64k invitation Linux Windows MacOSX Intel tensile by Horology
- Just ran the mac port - it's pretty good, but slow.
First (blocks in space, rippling broken cube) and last (gears) parts run OK, but a bit slow for what's shown (30-45fps at 640*360(?) res).
Middle part (where it seems to turn white): 10 seconds per frame :O No music plays during this part too.

- Another flt demo, another big bag of mixed emotions :D
There's some amazing parts in this one, especially the liquids, the skull, and the breaking glass (which is right up there at the top of the "holy fuck" moments in the demoscene for me). And I liked the music.
Then there are the other bits, like the intro which felt a bit empty + unfinished somehow. And the DOF effect, which looked stunning in some parts but cheap + fake in others. And the glass pyramid, which looks somehow wrong (not sure why, either it's the refraction not being quite right or the lack of reflections / fresnel).
But then I have to take a step back, and think about those criticisms in context: I'm criticising it for things like this when no other demo even comes close on the tech side. Looking at the demo as a whole, it's solidly mind blowing.
Really looking forward to the blog post on this one smash, as raytracing is an area of real interest to me lately. I'm very interested to hear how the skull/liquids part was done particularly, and also the diffraction in the broken glass (multiple internal reflection rays or cunning fake? I'd be just as happy to learn there's a big RGB rainbow right behind the camera :D) - rulezadded on the 2013-04-02 10:58:21
- 64k Windows Turtles all the way down by Brain Control [web]
- I really like this. It's got plenty of good ideas, well implemented. Best 64k in quite some time :)

- 4k Windows Kohlenstoffeinheit by Akronyme Analogiker
- Visually absolutely stunning, and it improves on the 2nd watch. Just as important: even knowing roughly how it's done, I'm still blown away :)
Absolute killer 4k. - rulezadded on the 2013-04-02 10:32:57
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Rink a Dink: REDUX by Lemon.
- Pure time machine. Took me back to '93, blew my socks off. Just a shame it dropped me back in 2013 at the end :D
