- demo Amstrad CPC phX by Condense [web]
- I'm having real trouble getting this to run on a real CPC 6128 (non-plus). Using flashfloppy v3.16 on a gotek as drive A or B with either the HFE or DSK image all I get is a black screen, the OLED display on the gotek says track 0, side 0.
The HFE image of Phortem works OK, except for minor music delays when reading the disk. Batman Forever runs just fine too. I have no expansion hardware other than the gotek plugged into the external FDD port, and all the RAM tests good. Does anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting? I'd really like to get this working on real hw. - isokadded on the 2020-08-30 19:30:43

- A lot of palette cycling and unashamed of it, it looks great, tune is great, sync is great.

- demo PICO-8 A Resolute Purpose by Matt Current [web]
- First pico8 demo I've seen, looks like I chose the right one. Tough theme, well done.

- demo NES/Famicom HEOHdemo by Shiru
- The lighthearted and fun style fits the platform really well. "based on real effects" made me laugh.

- demo Commodore 64 Two Sided by Atlantis
- There's a lot to talk about here. Loads of memorable scenes with some smart transitions, lots of great animation and artwork, even an enjoyable scroller(!)
That ending mural was awesome. In my opinion the ending would have been just as effective without the "sys666" and character flip. It's cute but the bootscreen slowly scrolling back in was a dramatic enough move.
Nice to hear some unusual instrumentation in the music, too. Particularly the flip disk screen mimicking the drive sounds and then the vocals and almost FM-sounding part that follows. And those bell samples. - rulezadded on the 2019-09-24 23:33:12
