• I think everything about this tells it's supposed to be a joke, from the group's name to "coded in assembler" and the 7.1 surround thing. Scene satire or something.

• Yeah! The musical elements are good enough and go together with the visuals well enough to create the needed level of artistic credibility. As if you could have chosen a soundtrack of any style or complexity (which isn't possible in 1k of course), but you opted for this minimalistic thing as a deliberate artistic choice. Which is exactly what makes a good 1k.

  FWIW, I got pretty close to the compo machine's performance with Dosbox settings cycles=65000, cputype=pentium_slow, machine=svga_et4000
  The compo PC had Pentium 133 (without MMX), Tseng ET6000, GUS etc.

• Fresh visuals. The ending music sync is great, but before that, there could be more sync things.

• Good tune and visuals. The hi-hat sound could have been left out, and the saved bit spent on color grading. I think the bright red + yellow combination is too harsh.

• The problem is, expectations are too high. Everybody need to start making more crap and entering it in compos. Stop caring about thumb-downs and Pouet in general. Thumb counts don't matter. Thumb counts are for idiots. Don't be an idiot.

• Party version. Sound support is not in best possible condition. Apparently, GUS music worked on the compo machine. We might make a fixed version and release the sources later on.
