- demo Windows Insight In An Unseizable World by Cocoon [web]
- To date, this is still my favorite Cocoon demo.

- demo Windows shampain by Loopit [web]
- On Windows 10 with NVidia: black screen with loud dubstep, unable to quit, until it finally crashed. That was not the most pleasant experience... :-/

- hahaha, nice tribute to an excellent demo.
On the Youtube video, the greetings animation is off by one compared to the highlighted one. - rulezadded on the 2017-01-19 16:00:53

- I remember liking this during the compo. But now that I've watched it at home, I realize it's a lot better than I already thought.
The core idea of the roof opening works really well, especially so thanks to the smokin' GI that really sells the natural light feeling. On top of it, the attention to detail: the glow, the marble plates, the shapes laying on the ground; all work together to solidify the prod.
But what really knocks it out of the park is the direction. The perspective is carefully used to build up tension and the music creates the expectation. Then when the climax comes in it completely delivers.
Well done. - rulezadded on the 2017-01-01 08:26:07
- 4k Windows Dreamcatcher by LJ & Virgill [web]
- I'm going to disagree here with Punctured and Gargaj, about the alien at the end. I thought the opening scene with the eye was daring and rather successful. It works on its own, shows enough to convey the idea, yet little enough so we don't get distracted by details.
I thought showing the entire alien head defeated that, because suddenly we are shown the model entirely and have a good deal of time to notice everything that is questionable about it. Maybe a simpler shape, a simpler shading or a dimmer lighting could have worked better. But in the current state I felt that the opening scene worked better.
Regarding what's in between, I share Gargaj's feeling that some of it is dull or uninspired: random patterns, yet another green-violet gradient that we have seen so many times already. In contrast, the emeralds pits are a fresh look and the cave with the lake is an unexploited gem though.
Up thumb for the scenario and construction. - rulezadded on the 2017-01-01 08:04:43
- demo Windows Shapeshift by Cocoon [web]
- The final clearly improves over the party version. The comments some have made on the Blade Runner scene vs demoish shapes stand, although the possibilities offered by your GI are really cool. In this one I especially like the hot shapes.
