• Adding to what Xerus said, I guess it makes sense to note that the benefits of the FPU are not very great on Atari Falcon for the purpose of making demos (so far, and including this demo- rumours say this may still change in the future). There has been a bunch of prods that used the FPU, mainly back in the 90s. Since then, coders found just as fast or quicker techniques that don't require the FPU, and so releases that require a FPU became a rarity upto the point that the STNICCC compo team didn't prepare for such a release at all until we became aware of DML's entry.
