- Just listened to the tune alone. I like it personally (and I like this style, although I don't know what ebm is :)
Maybe the mix could do with a bit of work, the drums sounded like they needed a bit of sharpening up at the low end, but then i'm listening on iPod headphones so maybe the problem is there. The vocals work for me. Lyrics.. dunno, but honestly who listens to a track like this for deep lyrics? :D - isokadded on the 2011-08-08 12:17:22

- Cheap pun + cool tech, sounds fun to me.

- The standard ASD fare this time (where standard means your jaw goes slack and you just think "holy fuck" for 5 minutes of your life). I'll just go watch this another 10 times or so...

- amusic: extra thumb up for the new audio track. Subtle changes, but they add up to a much improved tune I think. It now sounds like the piano and singer are together, playing as one and coming together so they're more than the sum of the parts. Before it sounded like they'd been recorded separately, then just overlaid. I think it now works a lot better :)

- env-mapped low-poly dolphins would definitely improve those water scenes :)

- I agree with kb + ps. The 'live'/'not-overproduced-overpracticed' feel makes it special.
But.. it's perhaps a little too underproduced. If it sounded like a drunk woman in a pub singing to an untuned piano that would be way too amateurish, no? The vocals, the piano, and the visuals, they all deserve better than that. Of course it doesn't sound like that, I just make the point that too amateurish or too live is a bad thing.
I'd say this just needs a slightly smoother balance between the piano and singing, so they complement each other more. - isokadded on the 2011-07-26 01:26:08

- That was a very interesting watch.
The visuals: Overall pretty great. The hard cuts at the start were a bit jarring, the butterfly was a bit speedy so it didn't fit in well with the other visuals/audio, and the pattern of particles on the leaves was a bit too regular. I love how you've used the particle size to get a dof/bokeh type effect, and the other scenes were great, especially the water.
The audio: I loved the piano, and i loved the singing. The recording + mastering could be better, but hey it's not a commercial release with a big studio budget :) The lyrics I didn't really like though. Something deeper/less obvious would work as smash suggested, or I think the singer's voice would actually fit a simpler/more 'honest' type of lyric. This is somewhere between the two, which feels wrong somehow. - rulezadded on the 2011-07-25 13:13:34

- What hooverphonique said. I can't be arsed to go looking for some random unarchiving file for some obscure format, so no demo for me.

- Just what chromag said, but I figure the average of 'ok' and 'rules' has to be a mild rules.

- Good form + colour I'd say, maybe could have benefitted from some soft shadows for more contrast?
