- invitation Windows sp4-01 by Pipidemic
- Not bad, but rather insignificant.

- 4k invitation MS-Dos stArt tiny invtro by Bomb
- Sure Skal I can appreciate that, but wouldn't it be more fun to pack a lot more content into 4k or 64k and see the hard work pay off with a nice looking result?
I'm not saying it's a bad intro, it just has absolutely no visual appeal for me. - isokadded on the 2004-01-09 15:43:13

- Sorry, but I agree with Spengler. I guess it's good coding, but I can't see the purpose of coding intros of this size when they look so bad and run so slowly.

- artpack Linux Windows ACiD Acquisition Update 100: the final artpack by ANSI Creators in Demand [web]
- A real waste of potential!
I don't know much about textmode art, but a few of the graphics in the hires section are superb. Some of these could have been used in a slideshow, or a series of slideshows, instead of being thrown into a huge junk pile where they'll probably go unnoticed by most people. And the same applies to the mp3s which could have been used in a line of music demos.
This to me is not a good way of releasing sceners' hard work, so despite some of the great work here, it gets a thumb down from me. - sucksadded on the 2004-01-08 16:54:33
- demo Windows HappyNewYearMo 2004 by Collapse [web]
- The modelling is a bit rough in places, but I really did enjoy this demo. It's so twee it's hilarious, although it's a nice little setting and the music fits perfectly.

- demo Windows In memory of Spiral by Oxygene [web]
- Crashed at the same place for me too. :(
Although I never knew Spiral in person, he was certainly one of my gfx idols and a major source of motivation. Back when I was pixelling, I'd spend hours magnifying his logos in Dpaint, trying to figure out his technique.
I offer my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. - isokadded on the 2004-01-05 13:42:13

- Perfect blend of retro design and modern effects + another outstanding track by Reed. Pretty damn excellent all round.

- musicdisk Windows DFstarS Chipdisk #2! by Direct From Stars [web] & Lockless [web]
- It didn't blow me away and some of the tunes were a bit too shrill, but as a whole I liked it. Nice oldschool snowy theme and it was very good to see an optional fullscreen mode too.

- musicdisk Windows Welcome to the Dimlight Alley by Dimlight Alley Crew [web]
- I see your point Foolman. I guess I like to be completely immersed in a prod and prefer the old style Amiga music disks with lots of scrollers, effects, a little game or maybe a slideshow to keep me entertained while I enjoy the music. I also think that these musicians have worked long and hard on these tracks and really deserve more of a build up in an opening sequence or alike.
But I agree that a fullscreen mode as an option would be the ideal solution for everyone.
I also agree with TMB about the size, and the download link is probably much quicker than Kazaa, Winmx etc anyway. - isokadded on the 2004-01-02 18:04:51
- intro Windows tAAt 2004 by tAAt [web]
- Looks good, but a single rotating object does not make good entertainment and, personally, I found the music quite stale.
