• I remember this one, and watching it quite a few times. It was pretty amazing. Hm.. must rewatch :)

• I never found this so amazing back then, apart from the gfx parts. It was still one of the better demos of course.. Now I understand the code side of things more, it's way more impressive.

• Not really THAT bad, but not really a demo.. more like a collection of simple effects with a broken cd. Pig or sucks is the question though..

  Well, it's more cracktro than demo I'd say, but it's not oldschool in a bad way, and there's more to it than I'd guessed from the screenshot :)
  
  For a "first" iphone demo (I think yellow rose of texas was "the first", but that was a port..) it's not great, but for a fast demo on new hardware it's decent enough for a thumb.

• confused: it's an iphone/ipod touch demo. To run it, you need one of those two, plus a mac + iphone dev kit.
  
  To run it on hardware, you'll either need to code sign it (which means being a registered iphone dev) or get somebody to do it for you. Or jailbreak the phone + run it.. no idea how you install stuff on the phone but jailbreaking is pretty easy.

• This seems a little messed up.. there's a few dma*.png files missing from the resources folder (probably not needed, so I removed them from the target). Then there was a warning about code signing, probably something to do with the extra stuff you added to the build target settings.. I removed that - i need to code sign, my phone isn't jailbroken. Then I got a build error - something about referencing _main from $non-lazy-pointer or such.. no idea what causes that :/
  
  Anyway, waiting for a fix :D

  It's kind of "one-sided". The code is great, the effects are good, the music is really good too, but there's no design, flow or whatever. Some other stuff goes the other way - simple technically, but great design. The really great intros manage to have both, but it's rare, especially at these small sizes.
  
  With stuff like this, I really enjoy watching it once.. the sheer coolness of good realtime raytracing makes it great. The second time, I get past that, and there's only really coloured spheres on a plane, it's not so enjoyable.

• Couldn't decompress this on osx, and had to open the zip with winrar on windows.
  
  The demo? It would have made a fairly bad 4k. Oh well, keep trying :)
