- What everyone else said, and an extra thumb up for the direction and how it makes this intro so much better than the sum of its already awesome parts.

- What I like most about this demo is that it kinda doesn't look like one.
So nitpicks first: A couple of parts fell a bit flat compared to the rest (mostly because they "give away their hand" and look a bit too standard particle-y) and I'm not 100% on board with all harmonic choices the soundtrack makes.
But the end result, with all the choices concerning color, typography, the gratuitous use of (feedback)blur and everything else, consciously avoids the usual demoscene aesthetic and IMO goes _way_ above and beyond. If I would just see it, I would think "music video on Vimeo" first, not demo, and that's an unbelievably good thing in a scene that seems to a good part preoccupied with rehashing tropes. And there were a lot of times when I peeked at Darya's screen in the last weeks where I thought "I would have done that differently" but turns out - most of those times I was wrong. All of it just fits perfectly. - rulezadded on the 2022-04-20 14:33:48

- What everyone else said, basically. Of course you could say that fractals are a bit overused these days, but that only means there's extra skill and care involved in choosing and rendering them. And this delivers. Fully.

- Almost what PS said but more like inspring: "I want to do this in realtime". :)
I like the eerie sci-fi aesthetic, with that bass line in the music it's a bit like if Aperture Science had been built by aliens.
Any chance for a 4K render to do those visuals justice? :) - rulezadded on the 2022-04-20 14:08:58

- Deserved winner. Loved how refined it is, visually as well as the music - Reduce to only what's necessary, then polish that to perfection, and the result is just elegant.

- What Saga Musix said, aka "What Gargaj said" plus: It has its weaknesses but for the concept, sound design, and cramming it all into 64k alone, here's well deserved thumb :)

- Absolutely <3 the soundtrack. Laying a bit low on visuals (still good tho!) to prioritize the music in a 256b is a bold choice, and it paid off completely. Love that it has actual chords, and that fake sidechain is the cherry on top. :)

- I honestly find it a bit weird that this made 2nd in the compo as it's more the type of prod that unfolds when watching at home when you have the space time to get into the proper mindset for it - but with that mindset? Give me particles and dub techno all day. Literally. :)
