People thought my last 256b'er was lame ("kefrens without gosub"), so i got angry and made it better. Now it moves as it's supposed to!
Next step is to put it into the borders in 256 bytes :)

Great! Seemed a bit static though. I'd like to see the next version with more animated bars.

Sorry! This comment was meaned to be for Kefrens without Gosub. I was surfing fast the net and clicked on this one because I had seen the other intro yesterday. I was meaning about the movement which is improved here as I say! Great!!! How active are you C64 freaks anyways??? I wake up and there is a better version the next day. Someone does Dycp and the next day we have better Dycps in 256b?!?!?! So fast that I write comments for wrong prod ;) Damn! I wish the CPC sceners were even as slightly active as you =)))

And I think now, this is the best 256b C64 intro ever till now!!! Clean, great movement, everything cool and fits.

@Optimus: he he, actually this is my first sign of activity since 2002, so it's not like i'm super active

@iblis: This is no preview. With "next step" i don't mean something i am gonna do (i don't think i bother squeezing this effect anymore), but the next step others could take to beat this one. Wider bars would also make a cool next step!!
I am sorry i released "kefrens without gosub", if that's what you mean, but i couldn't imagine that 2 days later i would have made a better version. I thought it was kind a optimal. I'm sorry for that. I regret it too :)

Very impressive that this is possible within 256 bytes! Best 256b'er on C64 IMO too!

Btw, for those who don't get the title on this one and the prequel (Kefrens w/o gosub), I bet they're derived from the error messages "return w/o gosub" and "next w/o for".

Yup!
It reminds me of a Kefrens Amiga demo/intro but I lost the name of it. Can anyone help me out?

Cj: There was also Metallion's screen (Walkmann) in Megademo 8 that started with vertical rasters, not exactly like these ones though :)

Cj: Ah, didn't remember this one indeed :)
However, my favorite raster-show will always be http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=3422 :)

Keops: Indeed, this one is great and caused a cpu load of 110% (however) when the copperbars start moving like a wave under WinUAE :)
