MAKE KOOL DEMON SHOCK TO FINNISH BRAIN!
YEEEYYYYY
It was well polished and everything, but I didn't like the humanoid models so much
Had a good flow and nice to see something thematically bit different from Gray Marchers. Animated raymarched characters is absolutely lunatic thing to do!
Lovely demons. The modelling and animation of the cube-woman with the skirt - perfect!
Also good to know BVH traversing from SDF-Modeler is working quite well for real-time demos.

during loading I get the error (Firefox, GNU/Linux, Radeon RX7700 XT):
Unhandled promise rejection: Error: Cannot bind uniform in node NaisenPaa. uSinTimeXPIX4MinusDelay is not used in shaders post-process-vertex naisen-paa-fragment

Inspiring stuff! All this SDF stuff with animated characters on an actual demo, makes me want to try out making big demos again.
A hell of a demo!
Hell yeah!
Great!
This is great stuff, and the file size makes it even cooler; it becomes so much more interesting when the raymarching isn't only fractal caves but you also get actual characters on top. It seems to run out of content and becomes very repetitive around the half-way mark, though.
KOOL DEMON SHOCK indeed.
I wonder how advanced are the custom-made tools behind this kind of productions... ?
Anyways, thanks for the ride <3

how this didn't win is beyond me, but at least i'm happy to report that i finally played the demo on my own hardware and it performed amazingly (+ it worked on an AMD card out of the box, props for that!)
great job guys on the phenomenal tools and all the work put into this!!

Ah, yeah, right. Works in Firefox here, running on Apple M3 Pro.
Great work.
Great work.
Great work again.
It has been very entertaining to see this group be born and succeed.

so this is what ADHD looks like!
Aesthetically awesome, very polished, but overstayed it's welcome after a while. For how loud and punchy it presents itself, it really feels too long.
Not compatible with my flavor of ADHD, I guess :D
Ran pretty decently on an M4 Max though.

I’m always amazed by the fact that the archive containing your demo takes up less space than the MP3 soundtrack to it! That’s what I call the scene spirit!
Cool
very impressive, both style and tech. works surprisingly well on linux/firefox/igpu/radv.
if all those models are also raymarched, then i'm doubly impressed.

Was just blown out while watching this during compo. I have always loved especially the beautiful fractals and visual style of Gray Marcher prods, but this one was able to take the things even to next level for me. The character work brought extra "organic" layer on top of things and just perfected it.
And I think the top tech achievement of the compo must go to smoothly animated sdf characters. It was just so hard to believe that demo could have such smooth and cool looking animated character animations as this one had.
Bravo!

Excellent project, I loved it! Thanks for the show :)
Mindblowing stuff, great execution and amazing technology. This finally feels 2026! I'd love to see a breakdown of the tooling, since i can only imagine how much work went into this. Great postproduction layer on top. This is not only amazing design, i think we finally reached the next level of post production in demos. Kick ass, well deserved, thank you very much! <3
Yeap, now it works great, and it's absolutely wonderful. Should have won instead of the notch shit
really nice, but a tad too long ... or self similar ;)
Is this all raymarched or is it a mix of polygons and raymarching? Both approaches would be really cool in any case! Looks great!
Extra points for the small file too!
When people said the size was small I still wasn't expecting it to be a 12MB Zip file!
I just noticed how the 13MBs of this demo is mainly the MP3 and also after the long wait it worked so smoothly on my 10 year old PC (with only GPU upgraded RTX 3060 with 8GB). That's the scene spirit!
The theme is not my cup of tea, but oh man what a demo(n) demo again from you guys!! Great music, a super cool car once again and wtf how did you get all those models and animations into JUST 300kb ?!?!? (ok I think I know almost, but still AMAZING). a GREAT demo thanks <3
excellent visual quality again, as to be expected, but absolutely not my taste at all in terms of theme or the choice of music. found the editing and camerawork to be quite a step down from previous entries as well. every time that counter going up or down between 0 and 666% appeared beyond the first i just kept wondering how many more times are we going to do the bit… :)
What's not to love here when a cube-headed demon marches through in a black dress and red stilettos 👠 the soundtrack also kicks ass!
So very good with a fun theme, very nice and consistent color scheme and a kick-ass OUTRON track to top everything off. Especially enjoyed the high-heeled cubehead, the car scene and the cubelike shapes on the demonic hands.
As a lazy person I usually just check the Youtube-versions but seeing how the data was just 300kb without the music I had to actually test it on my machine.
I can understand why (B) wanted to push for clean slate victories this year but I think this should have won. The combination of abstract stuff with the animation loops works really nicely for me.

Amazing demo. Loved it. And using only sdf for all of it, very very impressive.
the drummer don't feel demonish at all :(
that said, very solid.
& best tunnel ever.

I hadn't expected the animated humanoids to be SDF! Great music, great design, albeit a bit repetitive near the end. And I know it's kinda inherent to the technique used, but the contrast in file size with the other top demos warms my intro-coder heart :)
These fractals (and music) are becoming the Grey Marchers trope at this point. And it feels samey compared to previous intros of yours. Also like lynn mentioned, it manages to be boring, even though it's technically energetic... Multiple reasons for that.
Other than that - great rendering and engine, but the cheese didn't work for me this time.
