music doesn't work (using chrome). Sound effects (small ogg files) play ok, though.

ah now it works indeed
cute little webtro with nice music!
design seems pretty oldschool for having framedrops on my work notebook (core i5) but i guess thats the price you pay for using such a modern technology =)

Music works on safari, suspect the sound effects didn't (start was silent). Some of the effects were glitchy though, like the cube was half maroon/half white.

Nice to see an old group back, but I really hope you'll do something a bit more modern next :)

Hemoroids are back - get ready for more pain in the Ass!
ok, no music in FF, but worked fine in Chrome.
The Music and Graphics are nice, the overall feeling/design aswell.
But i dont see why your coders dont simply use some C++ and OpenGL to make demos. Every "effect" feels like: "hmm, lets try to get this effects realised in CODEF", which is nonsense, as they dont look like the original effect and you could do the effect as intended in openGL easily, i guess its even more easy than to find a way to make it in CODEF.
So my advice is to get into some higher coding language and OpenGL, its easy to learn/use and you have the freedom to code whatever you want, no limitations by some 3rd-Party-Program like CODEF ;)
But i like this prod, have a thumb.

They could use WebGL, yes, but the sources linked seem to indicate it's all sorts of 3D effects rendered to a 2D Canvas. Considering we're all about doing odd things in even more odd ways (or on esoteric platforms), that's quite fine. In fact, being a web programmer myself I found that to be pretty impressive! Most probably would have just gone with WebGL.

Nice tune, but javascript can do more than emulating 20 year old effects nowadays...

Cool stuff

(but do you know there is the DemoJS demoparty this weekend @ Paris?)

neat but nothing special. so piggie.
It was cute, and the broken english was hilarious :)

But there were some problems even when running on Chrome, and it's not really impressive to see these kind of effects struggle on an i7 laptop

The purpose of this demo was not to impress but to be pleasant has to look and to listen to. :)

Yeah, they are back! This was nice, but how about a demo on oldschool platforms? :)

nice comeback-intro, so here's my motivational thumb. for advise how to improve see what the others wrote.

Enormous "meh", sorry. Also: "Download" means download, not "view it online here, oh the site can disappear at any time", so make an archive and upload it to Scene.org please.

@alonetrio: Did you have received my mail about the sketch i am trying to get working?

Using chrome the 3 letters magic didn't work at all.
rulez added on the 2013-06-27 10:35:51 by Romain337 Romain337
The three letters work fine in normal mode or fullscreen mode. To get the hidden plesae use the key after the music start not at the beginning.

hey look, I can do effects in a browser from 30 years ago ? but please use modern HW because we made it 30.000 times slower ?

Meh, indeed. Old effects, not presented in a creative way or with particularily interesting design.. Welcome back though.

Nice to see you back but I really hope the next prods will be more interesting.

This prod has a similar vibe and shows a lot more attention to the presentation and flow! And it's got nothing to do with the platform. It's all in the details, presentation & flow. Love thy craft!

Did you check Brain muffin ?
You can't honestly say there aren't any similitudes between the two prods or that Rebirth is more polished.

Again, it's nice to see HMD back. Now bring it on!

wonderful web-demo of the old school
But in the hidden part for me does not work, I have a gray screen.
I imagine Dockers's music was there, I did not hear.

I dont like fucking java, but this prod wery well. Very nice old school style. I like this!

PS: In a feature plz use native apps instead of java. Your demos and prods looks very nice at oldschool platforms, such amiga or i486, etc..
