I know the concept with the cells of balls, more complex here, although it didn't show well on the big screenl.

It may be fun to play, but it did bore me when watching it on the bigscreen.

On the bigscreen, it seemed anyone involved with this game was so bored with it already they just wanted it overwith so they could do something else.

If that wasn't the case, when you show your next one, work on 'presentation' so you don't get owned by your own ennui.
@all: thank you for your feedback.

@KaoD: the square is slightly brighter than the other ones. Not enough it appears...

@what/nordic cns: None of us as been bored: we wouldn't have dared to show anything we didn't even have the willing to code in the first place.

The thing is, starting to write far too late and from scratch, we ran out of time, and cut on the visual feedback (like where you are, why the hell are the walls moving, who is making point, and so on) and general appearance.

Our initial aim was to make a significant number of people (~50) play live during the show, but that was far cry.

We tested, we failed. :-)

Hopefully your feeling will be somehow different next time.

@Zavie: yeah, I noticed the brighter square later.

I'd play this game with more visual feedback and a lobby for internet games (Or somethinig like that.) Any chances?

The concept is pretty innovative, and I think it's a good thing that you know where you failed :) It definitely should have more feedback, and to do well in the compo, be perhaps a bit flashier and more entertaining.

I didn't get it.
Like others have also said, the concept is quite innovative, but I had a bit of a problem feeling I influenced anything in a way, and it felt more like.. luck. Still, it's an interesting concept.

Had absolutely no clue what was happening on the bigscreen. It was like... WTF? The explainmode is a good idea, but i guess i somehow wasn't fast enough to grasp what it was trying to tell me.

Still a very nice first try.

BTW i provided the crew with the network hardware at partyplace (8port switch + bunch of cables) so that they could iron out the networking issues a bit, they were working hard on it.

Hey eye/TRBS, so that was you? :-D Glad to hear from you!

After some rest, we're back on the code, though at a way softer rythm. kaoD and other's messages gave us motivation to clean up and bring the thing up to a more showable, or a least working, state. ;-)
