I got here first :-)

An enjoyable follow-up to 'More or Less Zero', even with a dark party projector screen.

Solo2: many of these effects are fullscreen too ;)
added on the 2009-10-25 02:38:19 by gwEm gwEm
Solo2's descriptive review as always grows my desire to watch this before going to sleep (I am too lazy to even boot up an.. emulator). Also, count how many time 3D has appeared in his post.
added on the 2009-10-25 03:34:45 by Optimus Optimus
Ok, I guess I have to go to sleep and watch it tomorrow since it will take 20 minutes to download the video in my crappy connection (since emulators totally epically screw this up)
added on the 2009-10-25 03:40:21 by Optimus Optimus
epically = something like epic fail
added on the 2009-10-25 03:40:33 by Optimus Optimus
Ok, I lied. I didn't slept yet.
Here is my thumb.
Solo2 descriptions can be quite misleading btw.

Just ran it on my MSTE - excellent work by all involved parties!

Very aggressive soundtrack by 505, all parts are enjoyable, I didn't feel bored at any point. That's about all I ask really :)

Feels different than ordinary STE demos - Falcon style in many respects.

The music feels a bit repetitive in parts but otherwise clean thump up! STE fodder :)

Watching DHS demos is always a pleasure.

Too bad I have nearly forgotten which one was which. I was sitting in bad spot.

But anyways, great to see atari productions! The demo is great too, and it gets my thumb.

Hats off! Really good stuff for the STE. 505 music is great.
rulez added on the 2009-10-25 11:15:25 by RA RA
Dunno, music is quite cool but I find the demo somewhat boring, despite some nice effects. Definitely not a bad demo but I don't think I'll watch it often. Probably because it felt somewhat uninspired towards the end (Picture+3d object... come on!).

Hmm I found it a bit hard to get into, More or Less Zero was more coherent I believe. Still thumb up for still being active in 2009 !

Nice demo, many fullscreens, I like the composite effects with odd/even lines.
Still, prefer molz :)

After watching it again at home I must say that it got a bit longwinded and it had a couple of parts that were a bit lacking. But still, doing most of the stuff in fullscreen was cool, and I kind of liked the music too.

Very nice demo, and all those DHS prods lately will force me to update Hatari to support the fullscreen routine they sometimes uses :)
rulez added on the 2009-10-25 21:30:20 by Mr. Styckx Mr. Styckx
BoNuS: If an STe prod had to be compatible with the falcon, it basically means you cannot use the STe as much as would be possible, and a significant amount of code would have to be written specially for it to work on falcon (like basically disable the overscan code and use instead falcon builtin overscan).
Do you prefer a subpar (but compatible) demo, or a kickass demo that works only on STe ?
added on the 2009-10-25 21:44:19 by Dbug Dbug
nice work by proteque and 505, didn't really like the coder-design at first though. all in all, a nice early-90s amiga-esque demo for the trusty grey keyboard. :)

What StingRay said. Weak thumb, fullscreen saved it.

Probably the most stylistic Atari demo I have ever seen. I know the limitations that almost force you to have screens with a large banner on the side, but this demo uses the full screen - like Amiga!

Very good STE demo! it's always great pleasure to see great ATARI stuff on 2009!

I especially like the first fullscreen credit part (with halfline transparency).

For emulators fans, just know the demo runs almost perfectly on SainT 2.13 and I just fix the blitter-sprite problem for the next SainT release.

I dunno. I felt it was kind of random and the music didn't go with some parts (blasting techno over roses and a lonely looking figure?). Maybe it will grow on me.

The introscrolller is very good! The graphics is very good! By far the best demo on Atari STe! Even on Atari in general. Had a ST ages ago... I dont really know the different to STe but if I had seen this on the ST I would have cum in my pants. My amigafriends allways said the atari sucked.

Had some major issues in hatari but I watched the capture! anything I can do to solve it?
