Perhaps Haujobb members wanted to do something new in their lifes than just demos (Like drinking and parties? :) and their statement was just an excuse to leave the scene..

Anyways,. it's time for old legends to leave and new ones to come (Yeah! We want a new group taking the place of the top charts.. afteralls these haujobb prods were started to become all the same and boring to me...)

Btw,. where are Future Crew??? (Sometimes old legends have to do something else in their lifes, but sometimes a comeback of the very old is ultra cool 4me =)

i don't think haujobb quit coding because of all these negative comments about their Visualice-demos(tm). everything has an ending and this looks like one for haujobb-demos but ONLY demos. all those cool haujobb ppl will still be here with the rest of us. at least i hope so :)

Yesterday I learned that Haujobbs root must be from Amiga. The demos of them I watched in my new A1200, seem to be older than anything they released in PC. In their pages, their first demos are in Amiga..

Who knows about other groups too? I am still illiterate with Amiga demo history, but I downloaded some cool AGA demos that run exactly fine in my Amiga (New demos crawl in there). Demos from groups I know from PC, like Complex, Bomb, Oxygene, e.t.c...

Don't bash groups and members, humans,. ok you can bash demos if you want and have a good reason, but saying things about the mother of a member, just because you don't like his demo is just plain stupid... (Ok,. nobody said so, but just an example..)
Whatever if you think that some new demostyles invented by famous group are just crap (As I think sometimes), the fact that this group is just famous now, means that it has produced something new and interesting,.. so Haujobb has a value and a respect in the demoscene no matter if you don't like not even one of their prods...

P.S. In fact, I don't find that special many of Haujobb demos, or perhaps they seem all the same to me, but surelly it was a really productive group. Perhaps their quit will give higher compo places to other less respected and newborn groups :)

your last sentence is funny :)

i could add something like ... as seen on mekka symposium. we are not ranked high because of the name. not more or less than any other group there.

thx for the feedback about the amiga thing, haujobb started on amiga and that lasted many many years. we dont care much about the platform, its more about artwork done. check out other prods on c64, playstation, dreamcast etc...

I think Haujobb were great. I luved them especially for the -afaik- only Dreamcast-Demo out there... and I still wonder how they did it... it continues running even if the consoles cd-drive is opened and a new cd is inserted. It cant be stopped... and is great. Thank you for this!!!

But, Im sure, there will be some guys to come after Haujobb.... just wait and let them surprise you.... Someone ever has to be the best!!!
I think freestyle does also dreamcast stuff, although they didn't seem to finish something yet. If I remember correctly they usually had planned to release something on our party.

Just some simple words:
Haujobb did (do) a great job and beeing a big inspiration for me and other people in da scene. I love many Jauhobb demos. They are funny, they are not arrogant,, the have their style, but have also enough "abwechlsung" blah (shit, my english is so bad) in their demos. Just repekt the work of haujobb. Don´t gibe a fuck on poeut.net comments. You are the part of the scene. Poet.net for me is only a stupid demo-fan site. All is so stupid. Peace.

well, its sad that haujobb is leaving the stage.
i will miss them. it was like an institution on every major party you could expect a stylish release from them.
sure you can say that all visualice deoms looked sort of alike. but salvadore dali has painted thousands of pictures that looked alike, and became a "hero". you can argument in both directions. Imho you cannot blame someone for having his style. anyway, big loss.
I totaly agree with dipswitch.
and a big "screw you!" to all the bashers who can't do better :)

regards, abductee

P.S. seeing one of their early productions(orgonakkumulator/PSX) made me start codnig for consoles, so a thanks for insiration to all the (ex)haujobb members.

P.P.S. and yes, i also think that some of the last productions looked a bit alike, but thats not a bad thing imho.

yes, it´s sad that haujobb does not continue to do demos. yes, the last visualice demo´s almost had the same style (but from demo to demo you could see some improvement! for example: elements!) i like haujobb, i like the haujobb demos and intros, i like the guys behind haujobb (a big hi to: xxx, droid, melwyn, jazz). i dislike people bashing hjb productions (well, sometimes it makes sense, sometimes is simply bashing - and that sucks!). some of the ppl pointing at hjb productions should do better before pissing arround....

bye bye haujobb.....

well, sad but true all groups grown to the top will be bashed sooner or later. FC was hated, HJB was hated - just read some pouet comments - and FR will be hated too.

who ever said anything about hjb being hated?
afaik most people respect them, if not for their material, then for their charming personalities :)

now, please people leave this topic, let the hjb'ers party in peace (may god have mercy on your internal organs), and make a new thread for me to read tomorrow, comprende amigos?

oh and one more thing, a group does not split up over 3 individuals 'bad reviews' unless it was already on the menu, now go figure.

i think hjbb was a great scn group. their prods sometimes were better, sometimes not, but filled ever by that kind of feeling that only great people can express.
elite coders, elite gfxmen & elite musicians
it is a big lost
haujobb forever!

bad news for me....haujobb have been one of my favourite demo groups... Maybe there have been personal reasons for the dissolution, maybe they are sad of making demos, 'cause they reached the top and had no new objectives... anyways, "show must go on"...
I will always remember haujobb, they inspired a lot of people. Good luck to these ones from hjb crew that starts their lone trip...

without haujobb we'd have a lot less pointless shitty 3dshows. maybe.
perhaps we didn't quit making demos but quit doing shit. who knows. future shows.

and the show must go on...

love, peace and teddies to everyone!
