- Really cool for the time. Unfortunately buggy on a Win 7/NVidia machine. The intro will work 100% with compatibility mode set to Win95 or 98, but the main screen switches to an unreadable shade of green.

- demo Windows fr-070: Trained by Farbrausch [web]
- Nice to see Visualice and Melwyn (& LB) back again! I really liked the music, and the visuals were also pleasing. Good color range and direction. Maybe it comes off as a new take on an early 00's Haujobb demo but I'm okay with that.

- demo Windows Mrs Escher's Nightmare by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- That 3D arm was rendered so well! ;)
But seriously, I really enjoyed it. Good music, and it had a mass-appealing-animation feel to it. - rulezadded on the 2014-07-27 06:14:11

- demo MS-Dos Digital Dreams by Divine
- One of the first demos out of Western Canada (Calgary). The guys who made this (aged 16 and 14 at the time) later organized Crash '97.
Doesn't run under DosBox. Runs under PCem after some config.sys tweaks. Couldn't get a Fraps capture though, so video will have to come off a real machine. - isokadded on the 2014-07-26 22:42:52
- diskmag Windows Hugi #38 - Gravity Shot by Hugi [web]
- Well done. I'm glad it automatically plays each track, as they make a nice listening album, collectively. Good gfx, but the mag engine needs updating. Good articles.. that FLT history, even if it just covered C64, was a book in itself!
Regarding diskmags in the era of Javascript/HTML5 websites.. well, you can read the mag online too, which is cool. But there's something about having a complete package, with a collection of original music and graphics.. that gives it a real demoscene feel and not just some text on some website. I guess it's like buying a CD (or record, for the hipsters :), or a print magazine. It forces you to focus your attention on the product, and not get distracted by IRC, Youtube, cat photos, etc. - rulezadded on the 2014-06-30 22:42:56

- Let's stop pretending Dreamhack has had any connection to the demoscene for the past 10+ years, okay? New DH prods are about as relevant as those dreadful TP2002 entries. :)

- I was expecting a REU port, but streaming from a floppy.. yowza. The SID was cute.
