- demo Commodore 64 Unsigned by Byterapers [web]
- The idea of using 24 as the plot is excellent (though I though the demo had broken down because the intermediate time displays do not count the seconds ;-).
Also this was the first time that bugs in a demo made me smile. So here's my respect. - rulezadded on the 2009-10-29 21:34:58
- demo Atari XL/XE Forsaken Love by New Generation
- What? I have never voted for my favourite demo? So here it is: Absolutely best color scheme I've ever seen. The flow and use of P/M is brilliant. Regarding the 256 color effects I'll go a check leo.org if there is an appropriate term at all ... ah ... there it is: "r-u-l-e-z"

- demo Atari XL/XE Reditus by Zelax
- Big respect for the complexity of the effects. It's a pity that the resulting frame rate is so low but I like the shadow effects. The conversion of the Pink tune is actually quite good for me (I just downloaded the MOD). I don't see why people say it's out of tune. So here's my thumb.

- demo ZX-81 Somewhat Less Limited Capabilities by Noice [web]
- Damn. I soldered this machine together 25 years ago with my own hands and typed in my ASM code directly as character strings in a REM line. But this one is madness. How the hell do you get that noisy characters for the rotator and the plasma in place. Is is there a way to put RAM where the charset is?

- demo Commodore 64 Crest Slide Story 90% by Crest
- Tough I'm an "Atarian" I always enjoed Crest productions and man - this is the absolutely bestestest slide show on an 8 bit system I've ever seen. Technically and visually. Is there a description of how the mode actually works (I assume it's some d018 FLI together with sprite overlays)? I'd really like to undestand it in detail.
Keep it up, JAC! - rulezadded on the 2009-08-07 22:33:16
- demo Amstrad CPC From Scratch by Vanity [web]
- Lovely! The part with the "vectors" near the end look exactly like I always wanted to do it on my Atari ;-)
