- robotriot: this is realtime processing. it's got a fade effect and text overlay (i.e. a font). might not be the most impressive effects ever, but had this been a movie file, it had been a lot bigger.
and, ofcourse, the music is realtime processed. even though we're quite used to module music, and we don't even write the mixing routines ouselves, playing a module is definately realtime processing.
oh, and ofcourse the fantastic palette screwup effect. i love that one. - rulezadded on the 2001-10-22 08:18:46
- demo Windows the day the earth was born by The Planet Of Leather Moomins [web]
- the tpolm guys have style, in a way 3state, replay, purple or whoever could only dream of.
tpolm managed to make something fantastic out of three stupid effects we've all seen fiftythousand times before already. - rulezadded on the 2001-10-19 17:55:13

- demo MS-Dos Super Luxus Package Of Luv by mfx [web]
- imho best demo ever.
(not to be confused with best intro ever ofcourse)
best demosoundtrack ever.
best visuals ever.
best randomizer ever.
best athmosphere ever.
etc. - rulezadded on the 2001-10-15 16:04:23
- demo Windows Untamed by Fuel
- nothing personal, coat, but i would have been really shocked if this would have been beated by the solar demo. might i inform you people that this soundtrack is not a band rip like just about all other demo soundtracks within this style (but made by the coder and a friend of his), might i also point you on the superiour sound and graphics quality of all this? these textures and scenes are amongst the best i have seen. let us then forget that it might not have that much energy in it visually, or that it does not run on all systems. do yourself a favour and forget the bad parts of this demo (lack of 'design' or energy, mainly), and pay attention to the good parts, which are amongst the highest quality ever done in those areas.

- 64k MS-Dos { by Downtown [web]
- nice. however, even though the synth generates very cool sounds effects, i would have appreciated something more like 'music' in there (although that might have destroyed the essence of the intro ofcourse). to me these sounds make the intro seem a lot like some sort of lowres flash movie.
for the rest, very very nice. - isokadded on the 2001-08-21 15:42:32
- 64k MS-Dos MS-Dos/gus bakkslide 7 by Hellcore [web] & Omnicolour [web]
- i saw it again today. and now it struck me: this really is the very best intro ever.
1.5 years before tp2k it already kicked farbrausch's ass.
or exceed's if anyone bothers.
imho it has more athmosphere/art/good poetry/feeling/emotion/anything than any other intro or demo i have ever seen. poland rocksz! - rulezadded on the 2001-08-21 15:30:33
- 64k Windows lost vegas by Threestate
- the tree is nice. but for the rest it's just some random effects in a random order. to me. i don't understand why a continuous boring light-blue background is called 'design'. let alone 'kick-ass design'. to me this looks like lots of effects i've seen lots of times before just now with a plain blue background.
3state have made 4687x better stuff, imho. - isokadded on the 2001-08-06 12:32:28
