- lug00ber, as much as I'd like to take credit for the drum sound engineering I can't. Although quite altered and arranged, they originate from loops. I can take credit for selecting them, arranging them and adding some fx on them.
I suppose I could have arranged it as separate notes since I had the samples, but going for the loop seemed like a better approach for a track that was made in about 4 hours.
Its working title was "My drum is rented". - isokadded on the 2008-02-18 01:34:10

- TomS4wy3R, Chopin is one of my favourite classical music composers (along with Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmaninof). When I finished writting that piano part, I got a lot of Chopin vibes from it. No, there's no tune by either Chopin or Debussy that the piano part is related to. It's an original composition but the style of the progression is indeed inspired (albeit not intentionally) by Chopin.

- It's not a "real" choir. It's a patch (or well several of them) for reason.

- Whoa.. now that's assuming a lot. Not respecting "other" religions? Ever wondered what the creator's religion is? (or for that matter, if he belongs to any religion whatsoever?). Oh.. and it's very respectful on your behalf towards that "other" religion (islamic by the way) refering to that sample as "the calling sound in the beggining".
But just to set the record straight here, the chant was recorded in a studio, and is not an actual recording from a Minare. There's no intention of disrespect towards any religion. On the contrary, a couple of friends whose religion is islamic, thought of it as a tribute rather than an act of disrespect. - isokadded on the 2007-12-27 01:44:00

- The things that ticked me off in this demo are obviously the singing. Don't get me wrong, the guy has a very cool voice but I think his voice is out of context with the soundtrack.. which by the way I really like. The lyrics also look like they were thrown together in the last minute..
Then.. the bats at the end remind me of Cylon raiders =)
Other than that, I really enjoyed the demo and the atmosphere it created. I did indeed smile at various elements and ideas that we've used on our demos, some of which were done better in this (like the tube lights).
I'll definately keep this in my list of "demos I wanna watch when I sit back and relax". - rulezadded on the 2007-11-19 10:28:09

- zeld!n, the K pronounciation varies depending on the vowel that follows.. same as in english.. K in Kill is pronounced differently than K in Konk! Anyhow, K in Kitai is pronounced exactly as K in Kill. As for greek character mapping into latin, there's a whole "language" dedicated to that, called "greeklish".
