- demo Linux Windows Summer Hack by The Lab [web]
- I was just informed that after a little bit of fiddling with the makefiles the demo compiled and ran perfectly on FreeBSD 6.0.
Thanks to gaghiel for the effort.
If anyone wants a binary for FreeBSD or for any other UNIX flavour contact me and I'll let you know if there is one available. - isokadded on the 2005-09-06 01:42:20
- demo Linux Windows Summer Hack by The Lab [web]
- Just a short demoish production to shake off the summer inactivity. If the download link does not work temporarily, try this alternative: http://www.coder.gr/filemgmt_data/files/summerhack-thelab.tar.gz
Runs under GNU/Linux and Win32, full source code included under the GPL. Some problems were detected on some ATI cards on windows only, feedback will be appreciated on this.
Enjoy - isokadded on the 2005-09-03 18:21:54
- demo Linux Autumn Dreams by Outbreak [web]
- Some of the effects are very nice, others (like the infinite floor) not so interesting. Still the overall feeling is good.
Oh, and the music is great indeed. - rulezadded on the 2005-08-17 06:03:47

- 4k Linux Windows MacOSX PPC SGI/IRIX Make it 4k by Fit [web] & Bandwagon [web]
- Very nice 4k! although I still prefer the yellow rose :)
Always glad to see the code included in a prod, but that's always the case with Marq's prods. Cheers! keep it up :) - rulezadded on the 2005-07-30 07:21:58
- 4k Windows Spherez by Pneuma [web]
- Got the code, did a GNU/Linux port... no longer 4k though.
get it here: http://thelab.demoscene.gr/misc/ports/spherez-gnulinux.tar.bz2
nice little 4k, why not have a linux version... :) - isokadded on the 2005-07-27 23:28:11
- demo Linux Windows Outbreak 10 years! by Outbreak [web]
- thec: I understand, just said that it would be nice :)
I am at 24/32bits, still those free DRI drivers are a bit weird, I had a lot of problems myself, I can hardly work on this laptop. But the alternative, the proprietary drivers from ATI constantly crash the X server for some reason.
Anyway, I'll try and watch it on some other machine in a few days. Cheers. - isokadded on the 2005-07-25 18:10:40
- demo Windows 195/95 by Plastic [web]
- Saw the video, very nice models, and very nice image-based lighting. Overall a bit boring but good-looking as well.

- Nice to see a GNU/Linux prod, although I would be much happier if it was also free.
Anyway to the point:
Linux 2.6.11.12, radeon mobility 9000, with the free DRI project drivers.
After the scene.se letters scene it stops with a GL_INVALID_ENUM, supposedly on the line glBlendFunc(... something ...). The weird thing is that the "something" bit is correct and cannot possibly cause an invalid enum. Are you sure your error logger works correctly? - isokadded on the 2005-07-21 20:42:59
- demo Windows Vortex
- Thumb for the effort :) (also the particles where nice, and the blobs... I always love the blobs, even when they are so simply lit :)
The story with the dlls is that the demo failed to run at the first try during the compo because a couple of msvc dlls where missing from the archive. So mentor runs to his PC, rips every dll on sight apparently and puts them in the archive :)
The demo did eventually run, but windowed (he forgot to include a config file), and anyway the projector showed a big white blob for the most part due to the shittiness of its lamp, which also failed completely a few hours later, leaving us with a big monitor for the wild compo :) - rulezadded on the 2005-05-08 17:14:45
