- Top marks for basically smashing the crap out of a brand new (old) platform. Everything looked really well put together. Also 1000 internet points awarded for soldering your interrupts!! O_o

All about Rose: Rose
Also worth noting that the archive contains the Rose script which you can run from the EXE in the link above. - isokadded on the 2016-07-27 13:31:46

- Looks really great and the soundtrack does kick some serious ass but it could have done with a little trimming. Also really could have done with a crash cymbal at the end of the soundtrack.

pure coderColors (by a musician)
I suppose it's worth mentioning I actually have red / green colour blindness. It's not that I can't see red and green, but the spectrum is a bit messed up in my eyes. So I got SaVannaH to help with the colour selection. While I think she did a great job shes not a graphic aritst nor has a concept of coder colours and to be honest, I wasn't going to trust my judgement at all! I had picked some preliminary colours for some of the scenes (the ones you mention to be fair) but she liked them so they stayed.

Driller from C64 actually.. which I suspect is actually taken from that? - isokadded on the 2016-07-25 19:35:36

- The music engine is the same system I've used for the last two Revision Exe Music Old School entries. There is a pretty detailed write-up of how it works here.
The main difference here is that the size limit is 64k but the Rose engine and it's data are still tiny so I've used a lot more space for samples (drums and vocals). All samples are full quality 8-bit just with basic delta compression except the vocals which are huge so when through Player 6.1's 4-bit delta. Loses quality but not too noticeable on them. However, on the flip side of that, I was trying to aim for 512/512 memory structure so didn't pre-generate quite as much as I do for the Revision entries. - isokadded on the 2016-07-25 15:20:16

Also might be worth looking at the 8k intro from loonies at Solskogen. The exes are obfuscated in the archive and have a handy bat file to turn them into something useful - rulezadded on the 2016-07-20 22:35:04

- Audio now fixed for super big accelerator cards (or people simply moving their VBR to gain that additional 0.001% speed increase).

Thats exactly my thinking, only Photons new replayer doesn't seem to take a VBR param anymore? It looks like it does it internally.
I guess you're using the replayer in "Exec killed" mode hence the "Get and store VBR" code in the init part won't be executed. Before calling p61_init store the VBR at P61_VBR, this should fix the problem easily.
Ahhh, cheers stingers, will run off a new exe at lunch. - isokadded on the 2016-07-20 10:16:47
