  I made the same performance observations as cpdt. NV GF 1080, pretty low frame-rates at 1080p (~15 fps). This machine isn't exactly low end. There are also some massive drops in performance on some transitions.
  
  What do I need to run this demo in real-time @ 1080p?
  The shopping cart scene barely maintains 24 fps @ 720p - I'm guessing there's something else expensive going on. :)
  
  Minor things: The resolution selector shows a "Monitor Aspect Ratio" of 4:3, while the thing clearly seems to be 16:9.

  I like everything about it. The music is fast paced and awesome, not a single second of watching this intro was boring.
  
  Tile based acceleration - we seem to use the same/a similar technique for some years: I'm looking forward to read how you do it and whether we are doing the same thing. :)
  
  Thank you for an excellent intro that IMHO raises the bar for "what 8k is all about".
