  yeah damn, that was really bad luck indeed (not what you are thinking, since you still didn't get what really happened)
  hopefully ryg got it fast and sorted it out with me long ago
  it's so easy to be fooled by people when you trust them over years (in my own groups! WTF keops! wtf...), THIS in the end is the real hard part
  you think some people is your friend and then some day they fuck you on your back
  (2003 what a year!, first this, then I get stollen at breakpoint shortly after that and more shit later on)
  
  and nop it wasn't Checksum and not about sound (ST sources were available so no reverse needed), it was about gfx effects
  I think it was some phenomena routines but won't go dig all my magazines now, if you want I can check it out next week (g0t demoparty this weekend Oo)

  if it was just the only one in the demo ok... but nop "similarities" are also used on other logos (i.e.: the wizzcat part) in this demo, so yes blame the gfxman for zero originality and for other stuff :D and more...
  otherwise the overscan alone would get the thumb up yeap

  you better check that french ST Magazine article where "SOME" equinox coder admits that he reverse amiga code to make parts in equinox demos
