- I don't know if the statement is for or against gifs in Speccy. I mean I don't mind, but I miss the old Speccy demos, maybe 2x2 chunky dithered was alright, but my favorite are 1x1 pixel res effects, dots, wireframe, 3d stars, polys, sphere map, I remember some neat pixel res that were smooth. Maybe also multicolor pixel are interesting although too cycle accurate to be easy.

I might post some explanation soon in my youtube channel. But in a nutshell, it started as a C experiment to minimize number as much as possible to fit in 8bit range and try to create precalc LUTs for all the muls, trying to fit that all in small CPC memory, covers at least two separate 16k areas but in weird configuration, then several z80 tricks, among with storing the LUTs in such way that minimize reading, even with passing -32 to 32 X and Y values to the LUTs, and few more smaller z80 tricks, finally after that I did 2x2 subdivision, calculate every 2 pixels, if the same fill the block, else go pixel precision. - isokadded on the 2022-11-01 18:59:45
