• When I watched it again I could see all the nice codework that has been put into this demo. But you managed to conceal that quite well on a first impression.
  Looks really nice most of the time, but like Gargaj said, it feels like something is missing. A disappointment for sure.

• selmi: Yes, we scrapped Windows 98 from the start, since it is not relevant for demos nowadays. Just like most other software makers, we consider Windows 98 obsolete.
  
  Not working in WinE is a bit worse, although it doesn't come as a surprise to me. Crinkler EXE files are made for the Windows PE loader (in Windows 2000, XP and Vista), rather than the PE file format specification. The WinE PE loader probably contains a lot more sanity checks than the WIndows PE loader, which is why it rejects Crinkler-compressed files.

• Easily my all-time favorite demo. Not only does it have loads of effects that most people would think impossible at the time. It is also stuffed with beautiful graphics and perfect transitions all the way, and best of all, has a superb soundtrack. This is the true meaning of demo.
