- demo Windows Impulsum Fabrica by Pyrotech
- Was mistaken in my previous comment saying I thought at least they use their own engine. It was Unreal. I watched the youtube and found the single tree out of the 5GB forest. Those faces remind me of that videogame omg graphics post where they compared close ups of faces with pores, from 4 AAA games. Meh

- demo JavaScript THE MESSAGE by Gray Marchers [web]
- Happy to see this one won, I approved of the message and the speech at the price giving was fun!
It's one of the few times a PC demo gives me the good vibes, especially the music.
But everything is nice, clean, energetic, reminds me of older demos, like last time I really liked a solid PC demo with similar vibes in presentation/music is far enough. - rulezadded on the 2024-08-09 10:14:06

- demo MacOS Some years ago by ark
- Remake of Despair/Iguana soundtrack. Nice.
Some scenes with gray noise didn't make sense to me though. - rulezadded on the 2024-08-05 18:10:43

- demo Windows Impulsum Fabrica by Pyrotech
- 10 GBs? How is it explained? I say a UCAS file being 9.
Usually I expect demos using commercial engines becing 1 GB. The usual suspects.
I think they used their own engine here?

- 16k Amstrad CPC Thus Spoke Demoscenes by Software Failure [web]
- Fun title and concept. I am on greek holidays and maybe I'll check it on emulator or the tubes.

- demotool Amstrad CPC Turbo-Ass 1.0 by Exodus
- I tried that once on the real hardware. It's pretty cool in some ways, it's similar to the assembler with same name on C64, it checks and assembles each line automatically when you press enter. It even has the feature where if you switch on/off your CPC fast or reset if possible, memory refresh might have kept data in upper 64k, so with a certain CALL you open up the assembler with your code without reloading from floppy. Felt like magic at the time to me.

- demo MS-Dos Simplex by PlayPsyCo [web] & Desire [web]
- I have to agree, it's not coherent and music didn't match up with the visuals, also ended up early. It was kinda underwhelming and I was expecting more.
Weak thumb because I am still a sucker for flat shaded space stuff and it gave me vibes of Project Angel by Impact Studios. - rulezadded on the 2024-07-16 14:38:10
