- Kinda the same comment as on the starfield thing... the audio feels superfluous and I'm not getting much of a mood form the visuals. I like this better than the 3rd place tho =)

- The music is kinda nice, I guess, but this more just underlines to me how much of a compromise of putting audio in 256 bytes is.

- Best in the compo, and one of your best in general. Great back and white tones and uses all the shortcomings of the category to its advantage. No gimmicky sound, but focusing all the effort on what matters. I love the depth it has due to the blurring, and I love how it doesn't look "rendered" or "realtime" due to the lack of any real artifacts. Wonderfully organic.

- Extremely lovely! The technique is obvious, but the illusion and suspension of belief are extremely well held up. I'd even go as far as to say it's super enjoyable to watch all those "fake details"—while I know they're just aberrations and artifacts—construct imaginary information in my mind. Good thing you also were bold enough to have the camera take it's time to move around slowly.
I also like the music a lot more this time around (although please address that strange part at 1:25 if you do a final or something), though it simultaneously also becomes problematic as it conveys mystery and suspension, which the narrative never resolves. We just travel into this place, linger for a moment, and then exit without any kind of resolution. - isokadded on the 2019-05-02 12:42:20

- Thanks for demonstrating that the bilateral blur can actually look good, maybe I'll try it at some point after all =)
The intro itself is enjoyable to me personally too. It both looks and sounds the part, extremely cold and austere, big props to dixan for pulling off a great track with these webgl synths!. My interest starts to wane in the second half though. The glossy materials (an importance sampled phong?) don't look very good, especially on the surrounding space. This is when it starts to diminish into a much more dull "tech demo" as well (which admittedly is fair enough since that's how you described it to me prior to the party anyway =)).
Grats for getting 1st place yet again... the streak continues, you've got the magic touch. - rulezadded on the 2019-05-02 12:01:44
