- demo Wild The Epson HX-20 Demo by Chainsaw
- Hi All. Thanks for your comments, I want to answer some of them:
- I really didn't know that there was already a HX-20 demo at Breakpoint 2009. The HX-20 entry is missing in pouet, I found it now at youtube and in the Breakpoint results.
- Yes, the code is written in Basic. Sure, the machine would be much faster (and the demo more interesting) in Assembler. But I took the computer 3 days before the party out of my cellar (maybe this really was to late), so there was not enough time to "learn" assembler or to do something better on this old machine. I'm not sure, but I think it also needs extra software to code it in Assembler - just poking around in the memory takes a lot of time...
Because the Basic interpreter is vey slow, I had to precalculate the rotating cube. So, the long loading time is no fake or joke and not to bore somebody. Without precalculation, the cube would roate with 1 frame/3 seconds ;-) Ok, with precalc it's also not really "faster"...
Also every demo and platform is a matter of taste (sure, you all know this), so one person likes it, another one does not.
Anyway, thanks and greetingz.

- demo Windows Stereotype by Artway [web]
- Independent of the discussion and the message of the demo and stereotyp-stuff: I like this demo and the soundtrack, also good for a first pc prod.

- demo Windows the official end of a civilization by Nuance [web]
- I liked it, but I think you could improve some parts a bit. (how the other people here said). Anyway: Good for a partyversion.

- demo Windows Xenocrates by Panasqnic
- First I thought "boring" but then I enjoyed the atmosphere of the demo. And I was curious about, if something more will happen or not. (For example the cube could explode at the end with a big loud booom without warning or anything else).
