the visuals were not that spectacular... but who cares about the visuals if there's a heavy dubstep track to enjoy! seriously, this is one of a few SERIOUS electronic music soundtracks on this year's ASM, which could get released on vinyl on any uk label easily... just marvellous! heavy bassline, no cheesy shit. this is how i want scene music to be - no demopop incest, but heavy steppin' beats and breaks!

Looks like a Portal Process demo, boring visuals and very static.

looks like a mad current demo, and with a lot of work behind it.

interesting visuals, pretty much dynamic and i liked it at all, which i don't remember about mad curry's demos since that disheshamketchup thing. respect.

darkly stylish, very atmospheric scenes - especially the one on the screenshot and the next one with laser-guided bombs falling... and dip is right about the soundtrack, it's damn phat!

extremely boring demo, extremely boring music. hell, what a boring music... visuals are not bad though. still, boring is the keyword here. didn't manage to watch it completely...

massive - deserves a place in the top 5 at asm this year for sure. i love the bodies placed hap-hazardously around in a few of the scenes. :)

+impressive 3d engine, it's hard to condense, focalize, coherence all that bunch of shader tehcniques and preliminar tools in something more than a tutorial.Cool!
+gigantic artwork,textures,scenes,effects
+sincronization and sequences, it gives a dense but continous atmosfere

-the final bombMan's model...sorry

I think I need to see this somewhere other than the bigscreen at asm. But the .nfo file alone is worth a thumb up; that's freaking brilliant.
quite a dissapointment.
expected something more.
not bad still not really good enough.

Could the music team upload this fabulous soundtrack to Nectarine? I'd prefer a recompressed original instead of a ripp.
Otherwise, I'll rip it.
added on the 2006-08-09 13:05:32 by doh doh
Doh: It's going to be RELEASED on VINYL... kinda makes it hard to maintain the 'no commercial released tracks' there...
then again, we have always overrode that in case of sceners who were ok with that, so, yeah, I'll ask JPV to do that (:

See, kids, this is where 'following the rules to the letter' sucks ass in comparison to 'making sensible exceptions' (:
T l: I'm ok with that, don't misstake the target... ;)

seems that there's a bug when you run the demo with d3d debug mode on... colors get fucked up for some reason. so if you're a developer and get strange stuff on your screen while watching this, just switch to retail mode.

and thanks for the comments everyone... this was our first pc-demo with this team and first one i've coded with modern pc-hardware. billions of polygons and shaders! more to come quite soon...

The soundtrack is a bit too cliched and not to my tastes.

The 2d aspect, such as the typography and overlays really complement the overall style and mood.
